Il y a 2 facons de sortir a Kunming, avec les expats et autres blancs, ou a Kundu, le quartier nocturne des locaux… Avec Paul & John on a choisi cette deuxieme option.
C’etait amusant de voir comment ils occupent leurs soirees, les jeux a boire, les bieres arrivant par 12 sur les tables, les gens dansant autour de leur table, des chanteurs live, et pour nous des bieres gratuites, beaucoups de « hello », des rires… et a 2h30 du mat’, un resto pour clore cette superbe soiree…
There are two ways to go out in Kunming, at “foreigners street” with the expats and the palefaces, or in Kundu area with the locals… With John & Paul we took the second option.
That was really fun to see how they are hanging out at night, drinking games, beers per dozen on each table, people dancing around their table, live singers, and for us free beers, tons of friendly “hello’s”, load of laughes… and by 2.30am, a good dinner to end this wonderful night…

Une nuit de plus a voyager, et pour la premiere fois dans un bus-couchette.
Mise a part que les lits ne sont pas concu pour des gens de ma taille, le voyage etait calme…
One more night spent to travel, but for the first time in a sleeping bus.
Except that the beds are not made for people tall as I am, the journey was calm…

Premiers pas (libre) en Chine dans cette ville du sud du Yunan… Entre noodles et jus de citron, j’ai un peu arpente les rues principales…

2 heures passees a la frontiere chinoise…
Mon passeport leur a parut suspect alors ils m’ont prie d’attendre… Au bout d’1h30 mon sac est decharge du bus et m’est apporte au poste frontiere…
Trop de voyages, trop de 2emes prenoms (merci Sergio)… voici les raisons de leurs doutes sur l’authenticite de mon passeport…
Tout est rentre dans l’ordre, mon visa tampone j’ai trouve un bus pour Mengla.
2 hours, waiting at the chineese border…
My passport seemed weird to them so they asked me to wait while they were investigating on it… After one hour and half, some guys brought me my bag from the bus…
To many travels, too many given names (thanks Sergio)… here are the reasons why they had doubted on the validity of my passport…
Everything went fine, and with a stamp on my visa, I found a bus to Mengla…

Luang Nam Tha n’est pas seulement qu’une route… si vous aller un peu plus a l’interieur, vous avez du calme et des superbes guest huses a des prix tres bas…
Luang Nam Tha is not only this big street you arrive in… just turn and go to some paralel streets and find calm and cheap guest houses…

Parce que tout le monde essaye de vous decourager de marcher sans guide dans la region, je suis partie a pied me promener… seul…
Because everybody here tell you not to go around without a guide, I went by myself for a walk…
